Donna Yeaton, granddaughter of the original builder Paul Yeaton, remembered seeing him as a child during the early 1890s. This connection interests us, as we met Donna Yeaton some years back, and remember her vividly. The last Yeaton family member to live here, Donna's fascinating "Chronicle of Sorts" may be read in the "Old Images & Tales" section later on this tour. Named in Donna's honor, this graceful guest room features two comfortable historic beds, a fireplace with carvings and a private bath. As in all of our guest rooms, the quilts are made by a local nonagenerian, and each of the antique rope beds has been lengthened. All featherbeds have been replaced with quality mattresses for a peaceful night's rest. With southern and eastern exposures, this room has beautiful morning light. Connected to the Donna Yeaton Room is a tiny library which is filled with many sorts of volumes. If you find yourself enchanted by a story, we may invite you to take the book home with you.
